Amma Vian’s work explores the connection between humans and nature, reality and the spiritual or supernatural. We used to live in the rhythms of nature, but somewhere this connection was lost, and we lost ourselves in the process as well. What we really miss is the connection to ourselves, to our own soul. Love has the ability to transcend boundaries of space and time and heal, says the artist. In Amma Vian's world, love and our soul play leading roles, it is a world in which beautiful beings live in presence and connection to themselves and their surroundings. 

Amma Vian is an Australian citizen, though decided to return to her birth country in search for roots. She chose to live in Brasov near the forest, nature providing peace and continuous inspiration for her art. Amma studied painting at Adelaide Central School of Art Australia, and got an MA in fine arts from George Enescu National University of Arts Iasi. She showed her art in New York, London and Sydney. She is a member of Union of Professional Romanian Artists and in Brasov she created an art community with her art classes for adults.
